The dream comes to life
Since always, Alexandre Keff, then a pilot at Luxair, dreams of escape and imagines a hotel in Montenach. With his father, Charles Keff, he found a piece of land just a few steps aways from the family inn.
Inspired by his numerous travels, he imagines an establishment made of natural stones, perfectly integrated into the local landscape, and draws the first plans of the project with the architect Philippe Blaise.
2016
The dream comes to life
Le Domaine de la Klauss officially opens its doors in the heart of the hills of Montenach.
This bold wager to create a high-end hotel and spa in a Moselle village quickly meets with success, achieving an exceptional occupancy rate in its very first year.
2017
Opening of the gourmet restaurant Le K
Le Domaine continues its development with the opening of the gastronomic restaurant Le K alongside Chef Benoit Potdevin.
This new step marks Le Domaine's entry into the world of exceptional gastronomy.
2018
The creation of the Simone Panoramic Suite
Le Domaine inaugurates the Simone Panoramic Suite, designed as an immersive experience open to the landscapes of the Moselle.
This suite quickly becomes one of the establishment's emblematic signatures.
2019
A new dimension
The year 2019 marks the opening of the first outdoor swimming pool as well as Le Domaine's entry into the Relais & Châteaux association.
An important recognition that confirms the uniqueness and high-end positioning of the venue.
2020
The fifth star
Le Domaine obtains its fifth star and continues its development with the creation of a stud farm for Purebred Spanish horses and an outdoor infinity jacuzzi.
The wellness experience and the equestrian world then take a central place in Le Domaine's identity.
2022
A year of distinctions
Le Domaine opens the bistronomic restaurant Le Komptoir alongside Chef Lucien Keff.
In the same year, the hotel bar is rewarded at the Villégiature Awards with the title of Best Hotel Bar in the World.
2023
A reinvented summer experience
Le Domaine inaugurates a new outdoor swimming pool with a swim-up bar as well as La Paillote, its summer restaurant.
These new spaces reinforce the immersive and convivial experience of Le Domaine during the summer season.
2024
A Star in the MICHELIN Guide
The gourmet restaurant Le K is rewarded with a Star in the 2024 MICHELIN Guide.
Le Domaine also launches a Teatime signed by Angelo Musa, bringing a new pastry and gastronomic dimension to the guest experience.
2025
An international recognition
Le Domaine is rewarded at the World Luxury Hotel Awards with the distinctions "Most Romantic Hotel in the World" and "Luxury Small Hotel in Europe", while Le K is distinguished in the categories "Contemporary Cuisine" on a European scale and "Most Romantic Atmosphere" on a global scale.
These awards hail the work of the teams and the vision carried since the opening.
2026 to 2028
The great projects of tomorrow
Le Domaine continues its expansion with the opening of a tearoom and boutique pastry shop, the inauguration of the SPA Krystal of over 3,000 m², the creation of an aesthetic clinic with Doctor Martin and the Asclepios Institute, as well as the development of 12 new high-end suites.
A new decade focused on innovation, well-being, and excellence.
