These General Terms of Sales (“Terms”) apply to all bookings made through the website, by telephone or in the front desk at the hotel by a Customer .
In making a booking the Customer fully and unreservedly accepts these Terms.
The Customer expressly acknowledges that prior to making any booking he or she has fully read and understood these Terms and unreservedly accepts them.
Our Company reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. The general terms of sale applicable to a booking are those displayed on the Website on the date that the booking is recorded.
The Terms applicable to the booking of a reservation or service by a Customer are those in effect on the date of booking.
The key features, prices and availability dates of the proposed accommodation are presented during the booking process.

1-1 Application

The present general Terms and Conditions apply to all reservations made by a customer, subject to special conditions applied to some prices and excluding reservations made for groups, which have reserved over 5 rooms.

1-2 Capacity

Any customer acknowledges that s/he is able to conclude a contract, meaning that is the age of legal majority and does not have a legal guardian.

1-3 Prices

Prices are in Euros. VAT is always included. Prices only include the services mentioned in the reservation.

Complementary services (breakfast, minibar etc.) are optional, unless stated otherwise, they must therefore be paid for on the hotel premises.

Tourist tax is not included in the room price. It is charged per person and per night.

Prices mentioned on the site may be changed without prior notice. The price mentioned on the reservation is legally binding.

1-4 Payment options

Payment for all services is made during the stay directly to the hotelier, except for non-refundable rate, for which full payment in advance is required. Your credit card will be charged immediately for the entire stay.

1-5 Exceptional circumstances

Exceptional circumstances comprise any external events to the parties, which are of an unpredictable and insurmountable nature, which prevent the customer or the hotelier from upholding all or part of their obligations as agreed in the contract.

This is the case in the event of a strike, insurrection, riots, prohibitions issued by governmental or public authorities.

It is formally agreed that exceptional circumstances may suspend the completion of reciprocal obligations for both parties and each party covers the costs this entails.

Customers will cover the additional costs entailed in order to continue the journey, in the event of exceptional circumstances.

1-6 Claims

Claims must be addressed to Domaine de la Klauss, either by telephone on + 33 (0)3 82 83 19 75 or by email:, within 30 days from the date of stay.

1-7 - Responsibility

The hotel is responsible for the safety of belongings and people on its premises.

However, the hotel may not be held responsible in the event of damage or theft regarding vehicles parked outside the premises.

The hotel is an entirely non-smoking area. The customer will be held liable for direct and/or indirect, damages resulting from smoking in the Hotel. He will therefore be  held liable for the full amount of the costs of cleaning and restoring the damaged element or space to its original state. Any restoration due to the smell of cigarettes will be invoiced a posteriori €150. We reserve the right to charge this additional fee of €150 to any guest who has smoked in the room and to deny them access to the hotel in the future.

Any other non-compliance with the rules of safety, hygiene, and damage or negligence which could lead to direct or indirect damage to the hotel equipment or furniture, or to people or to future services, engage the responsibility of the customer and will be invoiced.

1-8 Data Protection

Pursuant to the law L.78-17 of 6 January 1978, the customer is informed that his/her personal data has been computerised, unless stated otherwise.

The customer has the right to access, correct and delete this data.

Details requested at the time of reservation are essential for the efficient processing of your request. This information is only used for the Domaine de la Klauss in Montenach for the reservation.

1-9 Applicable law

Any disputes, claims or controversies relating to reservation conditions for a stay or a hotel room are subject to French law.

2- Special applicable conditions excluding promotional deals

These sales terms and conditions are subject to French law and the jurisdiction of the local Courts.

2-1 – Reservation conditions

In order to guarantee his/her reservation the customer will be required to indicate his/her credit card number, this is done using a secured mode.

The reservation is only confirmed and finalised once a confirmation has been received by the customer from the Domaine de la Klauss.

Payment in full for the stay is made directly to the hotelier, except for non-refundable rate, for which full payment in advance is required. Your credit card will be charged immediately for the entire stay.

For some reservations, a deposit may be required, in order to guarantee the reservation. The deposit must be paid according to the deadline indicated at the time of the reservation request directly to the Hotel. Deposits may be paid by cheque to the hotel and addressed directly to the hotel or by credit card or by wire transfer. In this case, the reservation is not confirmed and finalised until receipt of the deposit by the hotelier, in the stipulated time frame. Payment for the outstanding amount for the stay is made directly to the hotelier on the premises.

The customer is kindly requested to inform the hotelier in the event of late arrival.

2-2 – Changes to reservations

Any request to change or postpone a reservation must be formulated within 7 calendar days prior to the stay and is subject to the Hotel's approval.

A change to a reservation is only confirmed and finalised upon receipt of an email from the Hotel.

Requests for changes may entail the application of cancellation conditions. Bookings with a non-refundable rate cannot be postponed to a later date.

In the event of exceptional circumstances, the hotel reserves the right to find accommodation for customers in the closest hotel of an equivalent standard, without any change to the price.

2-3 - Conditions for cancellations

For credit card and deposit guarantees, cancellations may be carried out at no extra charge up to 7 calendar days prior to check-in date.
In the event of a cancellation less than 7 calendar days prior to arrival, 100% of the total cost of the stay will be debited from the reservee.

Non-Refundable rates are "per se" not refundable.

The customer must contact the Domaine de la Klauss by email to cancel a reservation. 

Cancellation of a booking by email will only be effective once the customer has received a cancellation confirmation from Le Domaine de la Klauss. The receipt date of the cancellation request (by email) will be the date used for the cancellation.

In the event of a customer no-show at the hotel and no cancellation, the full amount will be debited.

3 - Special conditions applicable to promotional deals

3 - 1 – Reservation conditions

Special offers and promotional prices are valid on the Domaine’s website and its partners’ websites, subject to availability of rooms allocated to this deal. These deals may not be combined with other promotions. All our prices are in Euros. They are mere guidelines and are subject to change. They do not include automatically tourist tax.

For promotional deals, it is specifically stipulated that the hotel debits the total amount of the stay at the time of reservation.

In the event of a no-show, the full amount will be due to the hotelier and the customer is not entitled to a reimbursement. In the event of a no-show on the first day of a stay of less than 2 nights, the hotelier is no longer required to keep the room for the rest of the stay.

3-2 – Changes to a reservation

The dates, length of stay, as well as details (type of room, number of guests, number of reserved rooms, breakfast etc.) may not be changed after the reservation has been made.

In the event of changes, the full amount is due to the hotelier and the customer is not in any way entitled to a reimbursement.

3-3 - Conditions for cancellations

In the event of cancellation, the full amount is due to the hotelier and the customer is not in any way entitled to a reimbursement.
